When we are born our umbilical cord is cut off our biological Mother, BUT not off from Mother Earth.

 

We are interlinked with all living & non-living things the very moment we emerge from our biological mother's womb.

Ancient Hindus worshipped rivers, mountains, rain, earth, sun, moon, trees & certain animals.

Well it was not blind pagan belief. But, it was a deliberate millenniums old system of science, knowledge & ecological wisdom.

Do you feel I am trying to mislead you? 

If so you need to read until the end.

Even after that if you feel I am wrong, let us open dialogue & critical evaluation is the right way.

Human Dilemma - Intelligence & Selfishness

We humans are the most intelligent sentient species on Mother Earth but sadly the most selfish.

Ancient Hindus had noted this paradox millennium back & they had to think out a way to make self-centered, human beings think universally & to establish structural boundaries.

They needed these psychological structural boundaries so that when crossed, these boundaries it would trigger hesitation driven by the fear of cosmic consequence or "Sin."

But, the toughest part was how to instill lasting behavioral change?

Humans being a sentient & intelligent species, ordinary physical fear fades quickly. They would easily rewire their brains to engineer solutions against external threats.

So, the Ancient Hindus had to think out of the box and they tapped into something invisible but deeply felt as they knew the good & negative weakness of humans was emotion, reverence & guilt. So they conceptualized a framework of the divine.

I will come back to the religious part towards the end of this blog. As I want to prove the science behind  it.

In this era Humans compare everything bad or good with science & monetary values. As they can be measured, quantified & tested using advanced apparatus & instruments.

The Science of Umbilical Cord with Mother Earth & Reality of Evolution:

Modern science has confirmed that life on Mother Earth evolved only after planetary environments became suitable to sustain it. Early Earth was hostile for life to have evolved, with boiling acidic oceans & instead of water, corrosive chemical rains lashed the barren terrain.

Evolution of Life & the Umbilical Cord with Mother Earth:

It took millions of years for geochemical cycles to stabilize Mother Earth. Life began with single-celled organisms & evolving over millions of years into complex, intelligent species including humans.

How are we connected to Mother Earth through Umbilical Cord:

Evolution did not just create creature, plant, human, water; clouds, mountains, heat etc. but it simultaneously inter-wove all of these into a single, indivisible ecological entity!

The scientific fact is that our primary biological umbilical cord remains permanently attached to Mother Earth & it is not severable forever.

I know it is very hard for egoistic intelligent humans to believe it or even accept it. But, let me prove it.

Take the example of human physiology. Our blood vessels & neural networks interconnect every organ to form a unified human body.

If even one vital organ is damaged or severed, the entire body suffers & if not treated, the whole person or animal dies.

Let me explain with examples on Ecological Interdependence:

For most of us just the idea that a lowly earthworm or a tiny bee directly affects human survival sounds laughable. But, hold on, don’t jump yet.

Umbilical Cord Link to the lowly creature Bees:

Evolution has engineered Bees with a purpose & that is Pollination. Around 75% of the world's leading food crops depend to some degree on animal pollination. The reality is that without bees & other pollinating insect’s flowering plants & trees cannot reproduce.

The fact  is that if these pollinators are wiped out of existence by us, destroying its source of life the trees & plants. Will  lead to collapse of global plant life & subsequent food webs & would trigger widespread ecosystem failure within a matter just few years & not requiring even few decades.

Umbilical Cord Link to the lowly creature Earthworms:

Evolution has engineered the Earthworms with a purpose & we all know that Earthworms aerate the soil, enhance water infiltration & break down organic matter into vital nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus & potassium.

We also know that without subterranean mechanics, topsoil degrades, agricultural yields will go down to zero plants &  trees dies leading  to cutting off the primary source of atmospheric oxygen & the foundation of human breathing.  The whole food chain will be wiped out from existence starting from herbivorous to carnivorous.

Umbilical Cord Link to Non-Living:

Human cells require precise electrochemical balances created out of sodium, potassium, calcium & magnesium to survive. Without these minerals harvested directly from the earth & oceans the human body will stop functioning with issues of cardiac or nerve impulses. The reality is we cannot survive even for few days.

Umbilical Cord link to Geological & Climatic Cycles:

Mountain ranges create the global atmospheric circulation. Geothermal heat & surface moisture drive the water cycle. Hence without mountains & a functioning Earth’s atmosphere interactions the freshwater distribution collapses.

Umbilical Cord link to the Food Chain:

Every organism occupies a place in the food chain from the primary producer’s fruits & plants to primary consumers insects, rodents & birds leading to apex predators or humans. We wipe out even one single species & we collapse the entire ecological pyramid.

Ancient Hindus were Genius & they knew how to Condition Ecological prudence into egoistic self-centered Humans:

Ancient Hindus understood the umbilical cords link of Nature thousands of years before modern environmentalists, biologists, ecologists & meteorologists mapped them with sophisticated instruments.

They had seen experience first-hand human egotism & arrogance our historical refusal to listen to common sense for the collective welfare of life on Earth.

So, the only option for them was to embed ecological preservation into daily ritual & spirituality. With this thinking they framed nature as sacred. They treated rivers as mothers, mountains as sanctuaries & trees as abodes of the divine giving them divinity status & thereby, conditioned complex egoistic, self-centered human psychology.

This ensured humans realize they are not the center of the universe.

Making us realize that we are just a fragile speck of dust in the Universe & Mother Earth has no emotions & she works like a complicated Super-Computer created over millions of years with a purpose.

There by reminding through deep-rooted reverence & environmental fear that our destructive, nonsensical actions carry the ultimate power to wipe us out of existence.
