Lord Krishna: The Smiling Warriors: Life Lessons, Science & Cosmic Strategy.
It's easy to see Divine Avatars in the form of larger than-life, always-winning figures, but if we observe Lord Krishna’s life, we find one of constant, relentless hardship.
This has been the
same with Lord Rama’s Avatar too.
Lord Krishna was born a Prince, he was forced to live as a cowherd & die as a King.
What Lord Krishna's life teaches us is invaluable:
Who we are now doesn't define who we will be tomorrow; who we were yesterday doesn't need to dictate who we are today.
In the face of unimaginable sorrow, he never blamed, never faltered in his duty & never stopped smiling; he is the greatest example of how to face the world's imperfections with perfect grace.
A Life of Relentless Adversity
From the very moment
he entered the world, the cosmos seemed set against him.
A Prison Birth:
Born to chained
parents, he arrived on the cold, stony prison floor as an unwelcome threat to
his own uncle Kansa.
The Midnight Escape:
He would never
experience his mother’s comfort or his father’s embrace for long. Shortly after
birth, he was carried across the raging Yamuna River during a violent midnight
storm by his father, Vasudeva, who faced a terrible dilemma: save him and be arrested
or carry his son out of the cell to protect him from certain death during the
tempest.
A Childhood under Siege:
Forced to hide from
Kansa’s murderous conspiracies in a cowherd village, his infant life was a
constant battle against assassins: Putana, Shakatasura, Trinavarta & Kaliya.
Despite losing his biological parents, his original home & eventually his deepest love, Radha, Lord Krishna never complained. Instead, he chose to play his flute, dance and live in the moment; a testament that happiness isn't the absence of trouble, but our control over it.
The Ultimate Leader & Strategist
Even long before
strategists like Chanakya (he learnt his strategies from the scriptures on Lord
Krishna) appeared, Lord Krishna displayed ultimate cosmic & political
strategy; proving that to lead effectively, one needs patience, coupled with the readiness to make
tough decisions for the greater good.
The Lesson of Patience:
When Shishupala
publicly insulted him, Krishna remained calm & showed immense mercy, only
responding after the latter had repeatedly crossed his 100-pardon boundary.
This teaches us to show individuals the time to realize their mistakes; while also teaching us that unresolved evil ultimately requires judgment.
The Strategic Retreat:
When tyrant
Jarasandha invaded & destroyed Mathura seventeen times, Krishna chose to
forgo a bloody, resource-draining battle. To protect his people, he moved them
all to the magnificently fortified island fortress of Dwarka. He showed that stepping back is a sign
of smart strategy, not weakness.
The question that arises is why he chose not to utilize his divine abilities in this situation.
His divine purpose was to demonstrate to humanity that victory isn't always guaranteed & sometimes it’s wise to hold back, much like a tiger waiting to strike again. He was aware that Jarasandha would be involved in the Kurukshetra war & his fate was already determined there.
The Kurukshetra War-History, Science & Evidence
Many paint the Mahabharata as a myth to suit their agenda & purposes, but modern scientific & astronomical data tell a different story entirely:
ASTRONOMICAL, ARCHAEOLOGICAL & GENETIC:
Evidence is
corroborating the events in ways we never expected:
The Astronomical Blueprint:
Sage Vyasa
meticulously recorded astronomical observations (planetary positions, eclipses
& the unusual Arundhati-Vashistha constellation alignment) in the
Mahabharata. With specialized planetarium software, archaeo-astronomers have
successfully matched these heavenly markers with ancient dates, ranging from
3102 BCE to 5561 BCE. The stars align perfectly with the text.
The Sunken City of Dwarka:
Marine
archaeologists led by Dr. S.R. Rao of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)
have discovered a vast, submerged fortified city off the coast of Gujarat.
Among their findings are structural walls, bastions & stone anchors that
precisely match scriptural descriptions of Lord Krishna's Dwarka, swallowed by
the sea.
The Genetic "Bottleneck":
Lord Krishna tried everything possible to avoid the Mahabharata war. He pleaded Duryodhana & asked him for merely 5 villages to the Pandavas but being arrogant & selfish, Duryodhana declined his proposal hence bringing destruction to himself & his brothers' generations.
The fate of Duryodhana tells us a strong lesson that vanity, greed & bad company leads to destruction of self, the world was plunged into hell on that day & rivers were stained red for 18 days. 1.66 Billion People perished & a whole civilization was turned into ashes; it was a grief carried silently by the Lord Krishna.
The Mahabharata war itself was a major geopolitical conflict; it had armies from across Europe & Eurasia from the current Afghanistan (Gandhara) & Tajikistan (Kambhoja) to Punjab (Madras) & Sindh, as well as from parts of Greece (Yavanas) & tribal of the Middle East.
Only Vidarbhas & the kingdom of Dwaraka (under the Krishna's treaty of non-intervention) remained neutral.
The destruction caused was enormous & as per scriptural figures, the death of warriors reached to 1.66 billion with 24165 injured only, there were just 12-18 important warriors who escaped.
The historians have the figure for combatants to 4 million.
When compared to World War II (100 million troops involved & 25 million causalities), the Mahabharata of 7000 years ago was a geopolitical war. Between those who believed in Good & those who believed in Evil.
Scientific Fact:
A study conducted in
2015 identified a sharp decline in population during the same period i.e. 4000
to 7000 years ago, with a significant Y chromosome bottleneck where the male
lineages quickly died out & the female lineage did not. This observation
correlates with sudden, catastrophic event of war which would have happened
during Mahabharata's timeline.
The fall of the Yadavas & the Last lesson:
Having failed in all
possible methods of avoiding war with peaceful means, Lord Krishna, watching
from the sides, felt disheartened but remained neutral due to the adamant
behaviour & ego of Duryodhana. The Pandavas ultimately won the war, but
this was followed by a rebalancing for the entire universe.
Gandhari mourned over her lost sons & cursed Lord Krishna that his race will be destroyed within 36 years. The Lord Krishna agreed & respected her sorrow; even though he was innocent, he acknowledged as he need a purpose to ending of his avatar’s tenure on Earth.
Dangers of Intoxication & Arrogance:
The Yadava clan
perished due to excessive arrogance that developed as a result of the kingdom's
prosperity & their arrogance led them to insult sages (resulting in a curse
of an iron rod) & take to alcohol intoxication. During the festival at
Prabhasa, a drunken brawl occurred between the clan, stemming from an old feud.
Finding no other weapons readily available they pulled up eraka grass,
sharpened with a remnant of the cursed iron rod & proceeded to kill each
other.
It proves that alcohol intoxication (with money, wealth or ego) leads to death both personally & for one's loved ones.
Though the Yadava’s was his own clan he couldn’t take sides with the evil; he knew they had to be wiped out for the sake of good & humanity on earth.
The Departure of Purna Avatar:
Witnessing his work
the most beautiful city, Dwarka, sink into the ocean; Lord Krishna was leaving
a message to humanity about the transient nature of physical existence.
The departure of the master strategist, Godfather to the Pandavas & the greatest philosopher was a lonely, simple & unpretentious event. Resting under a tree, he was pierced by an arrow mistakenly shot by a hunter & willingly met his end thereby making the way to Kali Yuga.
The philosophy of Purna Avatar:
“Endure Hell do your Duty”
“Don’t Burn others for you having to go
through life of a hell.”
“Don’t cling to results.”
He is called Purna Avatar because he didn't teach to run away but to endure, He did not preach about an ideal & bliss-filled existence rather he accepted this world to be an imperfection & chaotic in its nature.
The True Takeaway:
“Own the Act not the Outcome.”
Take responsibility of your actions but don’t get attached to the end results. Take pleasure in successful outcomes but remain unmoved even if the outcome is disappointing. Keep moving on & don’t lose the spark.
STAND UP FOR WHAT'S RIGHT
Don't give in to the
demands of injustice. When the world's balance is in jeopardy by wrong doing, stand up
& defend the values of truth, nation, culture & your belief.
MAINTAIN YOUR VALUES
Carry on with life’s responsibilities, no matter how dreadful it might feel, but do not cause the same suffering to others.
Karma never misses its target; it is
values that stand tall against death.
LIVE LIFE LIKE KRISHNA; CARRY the world's burden but NEVER forget to laugh.
